On Saturday I went to download my photos to the computer and it wouldn't start! I ran it to our local pastor who replaced a part and got it running again! Yay! I think though Norm went into more withdraw than I did! LOL.

Happenings........

Nicole has been getting headaches whenever she pulled her hair back into a ponytail so she asked if it could b cut. You can see where she forgot to put suntan lotion on the first day of bandcamp. Really hurts her!
Norm had two teeth removed yesterday. It was interesting what he said coming out of anesthesia. Both he and I were surprised at the stuff that came from his mouth and some of the stuff he did. And he has no memory saying/doing any of it.
My two youngest have been going to a VBS at a local church and tomorrow night is Family Night with food, a concert, magic and I heard a movie. First I have to get some medical tests done and then pick up some corn at mil's.

Hello!

I decided to try this and see how I liked it. I had started this a fe months ago, got frustrated with the html and let it go for awhile. Decided to come back and figure it out. I got most figured it...... just can't figure out how I got such a big header...... or how to fi it. Guess I will have to play with the html some more.

I had always had my writing ones here but I haven't had time for them much lately either.

Well, enjoy. I will try and work on moving some of my posts from the old blog to here as I can but I know I won't get them all!

As we enter August............

It's going to be a busy month for us.  The week will be busy enough!  This Monday I will have my nephews.  Tuesday I go to the doctor for a check up and stuff for my job.  My mom would also like me to come and pick their green beans since they are on vacation.  On Wednesday Norm gets his teeth removed.  All week Nicole has band camp....and all next week as well.  My two youngest wish to go to a local VBS this week. On Saturday I have Worship Team practice for Sunday's service.  I may also have 4 dozen ears of corn to cut and freeze.

The next week is Nicole's band camp plus I have a Women's picnic on Wednesday and a Booster Meeting on Thursday.  Norm also has a Frat meeting on Thursday and on Friday night is Parent's night at Band Camp.  There is also kindergarten orientation in there somewhere.....

The following week is Nicole's freshman orientation, two days to tour the high school and Spirit Night with the band.

Our schools start the last Monday in August...although Lexi only goes about 90 minutes the first day......

We have yet to get soccer schedules for Lexi or Tyler......

There is an Open House at Norm's fire house our booster is working on this month too.

And somewhere in there I need to finish school shopping although I have most of stuff now.... plus shirts for my job.  Speaking of which, I heard a rumor there may be a p/t opening coming up but am waiting on confirmation on that before letting them know I am interested.

I feel tired just thinking about it!

While I am at it, I would like to promote my friend, Janet, who recently published her first book which I have not had a chance to read yet.....I knew her waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when she was voted the quietest in our high school class.  In fact I knew her since elementary school.  We didn't go to the same elem. school but ran into each other at other places.   Janet, kudos on your book!

End of July........ALREADY?!!!

My kids found this baby bird they "rescued" and thought I should do something about..... I made them put it back in the yard.....and momma bird was soon back looking for it.

We stopped at inlaws on the way home.

 Finally heading home.

We had to get rid of our cat.  She had been struggling with being litter trained and I put up with the smell so long because it's Nicole cat but finally decided she needed to go outside.... well, my neighbor threatened to trap and dispose of the cat so we took it to a friend's house to keep it out of his hands.

Norm has been having some medical issues lately..... the man who doesn't do doctors and dntists finally had to cease his boycott when he got a couple of infected teeth.  The dentist sent him to the oral surgeon who sent him to the family doctor to get something done about his blood pressure which was WAY too high before they would remove his teeth..... Norm couldn't believe how quickly the b/p med worked.  Hoping it continues to work.  Next week he gets his teeth removed at the oral surgeon.

Over halfway through July already!

A recent family photo

A loacl day care recently visited dh's firehouse.  Here is dh with the lass in front of the engine.

Dh showing off his gear for the class.  He wanted to send pics for his fire company website but told me I didn't need to send them that one.  I told him, "Oh, I didn't take that for THEM anyway!"

Nicole and I had gotten this funny idea for an advertisement but unfortunately this was the only picture we could get because Lexi and Tyler were laughing so hard.

Tyler was sad to discover that his stuffed chocolate lab, also named Coby, was accidently left at camp after discovering a hole in the one bag.  A friend from church brought him back this weekend.   Photobucket

And in more news..... I got the job I had interviewed for so now I will become an elite member of the working class..... or is that a member of an elite working class?    It wasn't the position I hoped for, but I got my foot in the door and it looks hopefull for further employment.  I am now a substitute for food service at our local school district.  I heard last year that the subs actually had work coming out of their ears so it would be nice to have 2-3 days a week at least to try and get ahead in finances.  I had wanted a job with the district to coincide with my kids' days off.

It's really weird because I got two letters from the district this week......each inspiring their own mix of emotions.  The first was for Lexi for kindergarten orientation.  That made me sad that my baby was going to school....my last one.   The other was for Nicole for freshman orientation to high school..... that just made me feel old!

Anyway, this year will be a very different one, to say the least.  I guess I better just buckle up and enjoy the ride!
